New Delhi, July 11: Results of JEE Main session were announced on Monday and a total of fourteen candidates have managed to score a perfect 100 in the engineering entrance exam. According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the maximum candidates bagging the top score in the first edition of JEE-Main, 2022 are from Telangana (4) followed by Andhra Pradesh (3). Jasti Yashwanth VVS, Rupesh Biyani, Aniket Chattopadhyay, and Dheeraj Kurukunda are the top scorers from Telangana, while Polisetty Karthikeya, Koyayana Suhas, and Penikalpati Ravi Kishore from Andhra Pradesh have achieved the feat. ਜੇਈਈ ਮੇਨਜ਼ : ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਨਾਲ ਸਣੇ 14 ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ 100 ਦਾ ਸਕੋਰ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੇ Furthermore, Punjab's Mrinal Garg, Sarthak Maheshwari from Haryana, Kushagra Srivastava (Jharkhand), Sneha Pareek (Assam), Navya (Rajasthan), Boya Harsen Sathvik (Karnataka) and Saumitra Garg (Uttar Pradesh) are also among the 14 top scorers. “Over 8.7 lakh candidates had registered for the exam while 7.69 lakh had appeared. The examination was conducted at 588 examination centres in 407 cities, including 17 cities outside India in Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Colombo, Jakarta, Vienna, Moscow, Port Louis, and Bangkok,” a senior NTA official stated on Monday. He also explained that the score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained. “NTA scores are normalised scores across multi-session papers and are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in one session. The NTA has already concluded the JEE Main 2022 registration for Session 2 and the exams for the same are scheduled to be conducted from July 21 to July 30, 2022. The ranks of the applicants will be announced following the conclusion of both JEE (Main)-2022 sessions, taking into account the best NTA score out of the two.
