The Istri Akali Dal President Jagir kaur claimed here today that the Shiromani Akali Dal will rout the congress party in the upcoming Parliamentary elections in the state.

Addressing an meeting of all district Presidents and state body of Istri Akali Dal Jagir kaur said that the “ istri akali dal” will play an active role in the ensuing elections and raise up pertinent issues concerning women in the state. The Istri wing will start its programmes of mass contact from 8 January with Gurmat sammelen’s in the state .

The district Presidents will hold seminars and workshops to educate women on there political and social rights. Claiming that women will find more voice and representation in the SAD, She said that the party stood on the premise that “ equality” should be given to the women in the state in all spheres of life.

The Istri Akali Dal will launch its crusade against the anti poor policies of the congress party and will mobilise the people of the state to stand up for their legitimate rights . She alleged that the crime against women in the state was raising at an alarming rate while the state government was failing on all fronts.
