Mumbai, June 6: The Maharashtra department of Home Affairs strengthened the security for actor Salman Khan on Monday after a threat letter was sent to the Bollywood actor and his father. On Sunday, the threat letter was sent to him and his father Salim Khan after which the Mumbai Police lodged the First Information Report (FIR) against an unknown person. According to the police, Salim Khan's guards found the threat letter on a bench where the veteran writer sits daily after jogging in the morning. Reportedly, the unsigned letter issuing threats to Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan was found near the Bandra Bandstand promenade in Mumbai on Sunday. Salman Khan's security tightened The threat letter allegedly made reference to Moosewala's murder. A portion of the unsigned letter addressed to actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan allegedly read "Moosewala jaisa kar denge" (you will end up like Moose Wala). According to reports, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who is also linked to Sidhu Moosewala’s murder case had threatened to kill Salman in Rajasthan where he was appearing before the court for the blackbuck case. Salman Khan's security tightened "Salman Khan will be killed here, in Jodhpur…Then he will come to know about our real identity," Bishnoi had said. Last week, Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa village. The members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly took the responsibility for the fatal attack and deemed it a revenge murder.
