SANGAT DARSHAN IN LAMBI ASSEMBLY SEGMENT

Terming that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leadership was totally ignorant about issues and emotions of Punjabis, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal cautioned the people that if voted to power AAP would ruin the state like Congress. Interacting with the media persons on the sidelines of Sangat Darshan program in Lambi assembly segment, the Chief Minister said that performance of any party was judged by its working adding that AAP has proved that it was following the Congress by adopting anti-Punjab and anti-Sikh stance. He said that AAP leaders have no respect for any religion and by equating their manifesto with holy scriptures of all religions the AAP leadership has bruised the psyche of people. Mr. Badal said that as Congress had attacked Sri Darbar Sahib and killed innocent Sikhs during 1984 Sikh carnage in the same manner AAP has hurt religious sentiments of Sikhs by pasting the picture of their symbol ‘broom’ on Sri Darbar Sahib adding that even AAP government in Delhi had discontinued the holiday to observe sacred festival of ‘Baisakhi’. Replying to another query regarding possibility of declaration of early polls in state by Election Commission of India, the Chief Minister said that the SAD-BJP alliance was fully prepared for assembly polls at any point of time. He said that SAD-BJP alliance would contest the elections on the plank of its pro-people and growth oriented policies. Earlier addressing the Sangat Darshan program, the Chief Minister reiterated that both Congress and AAP were hobnobbing to snatch legitimate share of Punjab's water. He said that while Congress had signed various water agreements to deprive state of its waters, the AAP was now trying its level best to ensure that these agreements were implemented at the earliest. Mr Badal said that it was a known fact that both these parties were hell bent upon ruining the state. Reiterating the firm commitment of state government to impart quality healthcare facilities to the people, the Chief Minister said that in order to ensure free treatment of patients suffering from Hepatitis- C, the state government has started ‘Chief Minister Hepatitis- C Relief fund’. He said that as per this scheme the state government would bear the entire expenditure of patients suffering from this fatal disease. Listing the major initiatives taken by the state government to check the fatal disease of Cancer, the Chief Minister said that an Advanced Cancer treatment center has been established at Bathinda to impart quality treatment and diagnostic facilities to people. Likewise, he said that state government has made concerted efforts to provide quality cancer treatment facilities at Amritsar, Patiala, Faridkot, Sangrur and other districts of state. Mr. Badal further said that in major relief to cancer patients the state government was giving Rs 1.5 lakh to them under Chief Minister Cancer Relief Fund. The Chief Minister said that only SAD-BJP alliance government was the true sympathizer of the people of state as no other government has ever worked for well being of the residents of state. He said that for the first time Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Beema Yojna Scheme has been launched to provide health care facilities to Blue Card Holder families. Highlighting the significance of Sangat Darshan program, the Chief Minister said that it was a flagship program of his government from the first day ever since he assumed the office. He said that this program finds no parallel across the country as no other Chief Minister bothers to spare so much time for the people by solving their problems at their doorsteps. Mr. Badal said that this program helps in quick resolution of public problems on one hand besides judging the performance of the government officers/ officials on the other. During Sangat Darshan in village Bodiwala, Ratta Kheda, Panniwala, Aalamwala and others several leaders from other parties joined Akali Dal in presence of Chief Minister. The Chief Minister was accompanied by Chairman Punjab Agro Jathedar Dyal Singh Kolianwali, his Special Principal Secretary Mr. KJS Cheema and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sumit Jaranghal.
