SGPC president felicitates Indian men’s hockey team for Tokyo Olympics 2020 bronze during Golden Temple visit

Indian men's hockey team who won a bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020 on Wednesday paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib, also known as Golden Temple, in Amritsar. Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee president Bibi Jagir Kaur felicitates members of the Indian men's hockey team that won the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Indian men's hockey team visited Sri Harmandir Sahib in a bus and paid obeisance at Golden Temple in Amritsar. Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) awarded Rs 1 crore to the Indian men's hockey team for winning the bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020. Earlier in the day, performers were seen dancing to the tune of bhangra as they welcomed Indian men's and women's hockey players in Amritsar. Everyone's ready to welcome them," said Harjinder, men's hockey team player Gurjant Singh's uncle. Likewise, the family members of Indian men and women hockey players from Punjab received them at Amritsar. "We'll start training from next month. We have a busy year ahead due to Commonwealth and Asian Games. Confidence of team is high," said men's hockey team player Gurjant Singh. The Indian contingent created history this year at Tokyo 2020 by winning seven medals including 1 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals. -PTC News
