Harmanpreet Kaur to lead Indian women's cricket team against Australia in White-Ball Series

PTC Web Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian women's team squad for the upcoming white-ball series against Australia, with Harmanpreet Kaur appointed as the captain for both ODIs and T20Is. Smriti Mandhana will serve as her deputy for the series.

Despite a recent 2-1 T20I series loss against England, the Indian team scripted history by clinching consecutive Test victories against England and Australia. Set to kick off with three ODIs on December 28, December 30, and January 2 at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, the series will showcase India's prowess against Australia.


Following the ODIs, the action will shift to Navi Mumbai for three T20I clashes scheduled for January 5, 7, and 9. The selected squads encompass a blend of experienced players and promising talents, aiming to deliver strong performances against the formidable Australian side.

ODI Squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Yastika Bhatia (wk), Richa Ghosh (wk), Amanjot Kaur, Shreyanka Patil, Mannat Kashyap, Saika Ishaque, Renuka Singh Thakur, Titas Sadhu, Pooja Vastrakar, Sneh Rana, and Harleen Deol.

T20I Squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Yastika Bhatia (wk), Richa Ghosh (wk), Amanjot Kaur, Shreyanka Patil, Mannat Kashyap, Saika Ishaque, Renuka Singh Thakur, Titas Sadhu, Pooja Vastrakar, Kanika Ahuja, and Minnu Mani.
