ICC Rankings: Ravi Bishnoi becomes World no.1 T20I bowler; Ruturaj Gaikwad among top 10
ICC T20I Rankings: Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi has been named the World No. 1 T20I bowler as a result of his outstanding performances in India vs Australia T20I series. The Men in Blue won the series 4-1, with several Indians on fire.
Bishnoi has surpassed Rashid Khand of Afghanistan to take the top spot. Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad has managed to stay in the top ten of the batters' chart.
Gaikwad and Bishnoi were previously ranked in the top ten of the batters' and bowlers' rankings, and according to the most recent update on the ICC website, Bishnoi is the new No.1 T20I bowler with 699 rating points. He was ranked fifth before the most recent update, with 665 ratings.
Gaikwad recently broke into the top ten and has been able to keep that position. He is currently the world's No. 7 T20I batter.
Suryakumar Yadav remains the top-ranked batter in the T20I rankings, so Bishnoi is the second Indian to hold the top spot. Surya has 855 rating points, well ahead of second-placed Mohammad Rizwan, who has 787 ratings.
