New Delhi, December 09: As the Indian cricket team gears up for a thrilling tour in South Africa, Mukesh Kumar, a key player in the squad, has become the talk of the town. With the team set to tackle a series of ODIs, T20Is, and Tests in South Africa, all eyes are on the players leading each format.

Suryakumar Yadav assumes the captaincy for the T20I side, carrying the responsibility of steering India to a strong start in the opening T20I against South Africa this Sunday. Mukesh Kumar, a pace bowler pivotal to the T20I squad, has also secured a spot in the ODI series lineup following his impressive performances in India's recent victorious T20I series against Australia.

However, amid the cricketing action, Mukesh Kumar's absence in the third T20I against Australia due to his wedding stirred quite a buzz. Revealed by Suryakumar Yadav during the toss, Mukesh Kumar missed the match for a special reason – tying the knot.

Now, a video capturing Mukesh Kumar's humorous post-wedding comment has taken the internet by storm. "I am feeling good. I've started my second innings with the same person I've been with since the beginning. And I intend to play my future matches well with her," Mukesh Kumar jovially shared with reporters.

The Indian men's cricket team embarked on their South African journey on December 6 from Bengaluru for a comprehensive tour, starting with a T20I series from December 10 to 14, followed by an ODI series from December 17 to 21. The tour will culminate with a two-match Test series commencing on December 26, contributing to the ICC World Test Championship.

South Africa has historically posed challenges for India, especially in Test cricket, where a series victory has been elusive. Out of eight previous tours to South Africa, India has secured only four Test victories in three decades, emphasizing the historic complexity of winning there.

The tour holds immense significance as India aims to create history in South Africa, overcoming past shortcomings and building on their promising performances to secure victories across formats.
