Sukhbir Badal gives a clarion call that he will go to the court to get justice for the " massacre" committed due to sheer negligence of the state government

Dubbing the tragedy on Dussehra in Amritsar as "a massacre " SAD party President made a clarion call today that " we will go to the court to get justice". Speaking at the Bhog ceremony for peace for the 65 souls which lost their lives by being mooed down by the train, Badal lamented that the state government and the CM Amarinder Singh were behaving like General Dyer for demonstrating such brutal behaviour to the dead and the injured lying in various hospitals in the city. " what can one expect from a CM who is vacationing in Turkey at the moment while Punjab is reeling under grief " rued Badal. He said that the allegations by the Congress party were " Preposterous and insensitive " that SAD was trying to get political mileage from this horrific tragedy. " I will stand along with my party to get justice for the killed and fight for the rights of the poor citizenry which has been massacred due to the sheer negligence of the government. Lamenting that the deceased were mostly working in the factories and the injured had no economic means to pay for the medical expenses he appealed to the " Rail Hadsa Sangharh Committee " to work in tandem to get immediate relief to the poor families of the killed and the injured getting treated in hospitals. " we will not stoop to petty politics like the Congress" roared Badal " but will ensure that justice is dispensed and Amarinder Singh will have to face that he has failed miserably to protect and punish the guilty". Regretting that the Congress party was making a " mockery" of the human massacre Badal said that Congress party, as usual, was draconian in its approach to human life. Remembering that the culprits of 1984 riots were still to be punished he claimed that " little was expected" from the state government to admit first its negligence and then punish the guilty. " human life" seems to have no value in this government he rued. While senior leader of SAD and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia accused the Sidhu Couple of playing havoc with human lives said that Rahul Gandhi should have some sensitivity and compassion for the massive tragedy which Punjab as a whole faced in losing precious lives due to gross misuse of power by the state government . " dubbing it as the most unfortunate tragedy in the state in hundred years Majitha said " the voice of these poor people cannot reach and be heard in ten Janpath". However, he warned that the SAD will not rest till the guilty are not given an exemplary punishment. The prominent who spoke on this occasion were BJP state party President Shawait Malick, Central Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Daljit Singh Cheema, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Guljar Singh Ranika, Virsa Singh Valthoa and Anil Joshi.
