Sukhbir, Harsimrat Badal share daughters pix on Girl Child Day
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal and Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Friday shared pictures of their daughters on National Girl Child Day.
Sukhbir Singh Badal said in a tweet: "As a lucky father of 2 wonderful girls I can firmly say that girls are the joy of every home, strength of every society and backbone of every nation. So this National Girl Child Day let’s vow to invest in our girls & work towards breaking all the barriers which limit their growth."

Sharing a throwback picture of her own daughters to celebrate this day, Harsimrat Kaur Badal took to twitter and wrote: "Investing in girls transforms not only their lives but reshapes the future of nations as well. Meanwhile, senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia said in a tweet, "On National Girl Child Day, I congratulate all the parents who are celebrating this day for the first time. I also appeal to the citizens of the country to pledge to give a better future to our daughters & ensure they have the best education possible and safe environment."
