Super 30 founder Anand Kumar honoured for contribution to education
Super 30 founder and mathematician, Anand Kumar has been conferred with the Education Excellence Award 2019 for his contribution to the field of education in India by the Foundation For Excellence (FFE). Kumar mentors students from families with limited means and grooms them for admission to India’s premiere institutes of higher education, like the IITs. He received the award at FFE’s 25th anniversary celebrations held at San Jose, California, USA. Addressing the gathering, he said education is the solution to most of the problems faced by the country and the world. By spreading education, he said, issues like unemployment, population explosion, environmental degradation and poverty will be solved. Education, he said, has the power to transform the lives of people. He also hailed the progress made by the Indian community in the US and commended their efforts to give back to society.
