Apple event 2025: iPhone 17 series launched, check all new prices, features & specs
PTC News Desk: After months of speculation, Apple finally pulled the curtains off its next-generation flagships at last night’s ‘Awe-Dropping’ event. Headlining the showcase were the iPhone 17 lineup, the ultra-thin iPhone Air, refreshed AirPods Pro 3, and an updated Apple Watch series. The event highlighted fresh designs, tougher builds, and Apple Intelligence-powered features. Pre-orders begin this week, with most products hitting Indian stores on September 19.
iPhone Air
The biggest reveal was the all-new iPhone Air — Apple’s slimmest and lightest premium iPhone yet, positioned between the standard and Pro models. It comes with a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR ProMotion display, a triple-lens setup featuring a 48MP main sensor, and the new A19 Pro chip. Storage starts at 256GB and scales up to 1TB. In India, pricing begins at ₹1,19,900, with sales starting September 19.
iPhone 17
The base iPhone 17 gets significant upgrades in design, performance, and imaging. It features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, enhanced durability with Ceramic Shield 2, and a 48MP Fusion dual-camera setup. Apple has also introduced Center Stage on the selfie camera for the first time. Powered by the A19 chip, the device is offered in 256GB and 512GB variants, and comes in lavender, mist blue, sage, white, and black. Prices start at ₹82,900, with pre-orders from September 12 and deliveries from September 19.
iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max
Apple’s premium flagships — the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max — bring titanium builds, ProRAW and 8K video capture, and the powerful A19 Pro chip. The Pro Max additionally debuts Apple’s longest-ever 6x optical zoom. Both start at 256GB storage, with the Pro maxing out at 1TB and the Pro Max going up to 2TB. Prices in India begin at ₹1,34,900 for the Pro and ₹1,49,900 for the Pro Max. Pre-orders open September 12, with availability from September 19.
Accessories and More
Apple also rolled out a range of accessories: a 1mm clear case for the iPhone Air, a new TechWoven case for Pro models, refreshed silicone covers in new shades, and a crossbody strap for hands-free carrying. The MagSafe battery pack returns as well, optimised for the iPhone Air with up to 40 hours of extended use.
Apple’s September event wrapped with a strong focus on hardware refreshes — from iPhones to AirPods and Watches — all set to reach Indian buyers in the coming weeks.
