Bizarre: Bengaluru woman tries to courier father in sack for social media reel over 'rising fares'
PTC News Desk: In a bizarre incident, a woman attempted to courier her elderly father in a sack in order to film a reel for social media. However the incident has landed the woman in trouble prompting her to issue an apology. The CCTV footage of the incident has now gone viral.
The woman later claimed they were left with no other option but to stage the gimmick in order to highlight rising bus fares and paucity of tickets during the Ugadi-Ramzan season.
"We wanted to highlight the rising cost of bus and air tickets during Ramzan and Ugadi. We did not realise what we were doing was wrong. We apologise for our mistake," they said, urging other to not attempt such incident.
The incident unfolded in Vyalikaval area of Bengaluru on Tuesday afternoon. Five members of a family entered the office of a local courier service and asked its staff to deliver a sack they had brought.
However upon noticing movements inside the sack and family's refusal to open it, the staff grew suspicious and opened it up. What they found quite shcked everyone present there- an elderly man struggling to breathe and seemingly in distress.
Unfazed with the development, the family tried to convince the staff upon sending the elederly man via courier. They even offered more money but that only led to a heated argument with the staff. Soon after an argument ensued, the staff alerted the police. The family immediately fled the scene.
