'Daga Daga Daga! IndiGo pilot’s hilarious Hindi on turbulence goes viral; watch video
PTC Web Desk: Passengers on a Patna-bound IndiGo flight recently got an unexpected in-flight entertainment show—not from the cabin crew, but straight from the cockpit! Captain Pradeep Krishnan from Tamil Nadu decided to take off not just with the aircraft, but also with his “toota-phoota Hindi.”
The pilot, who usually speaks in crisp aviation English, greeted passengers with a cheerful, “Sabka namaskar hai. Mera Hindi sundar hai, sab adjust kar lega.” And just like that, he had the entire cabin buckled up… in laughter, not just seatbelts.
Explaining turbulence, he went full Bollywood sound-effects mode: “Uppar 3,000 feet pe thoda turbulence hoga… daga daga daga karega. Agar seat belt nahi daala toh adega!” Cue passengers giggling like schoolkids on a picnic.
The viral video, shared by Captain Krishnan himself on Instagram (@capt_pradeepkrishnan), with the cheeky caption “Hindi theriyum po da! Olunga seat belt podaega?” has already taken off with 3.4 million views.
Social media users hailed him as the “pilot with the best in-flight comedy,” praising his effort to connect with passengers in their own language—even if the grammar was flying economy class. One user commented, “Forget stand-up comedians, we need more pilots like him!”
