Toddler’s ‘biryani demand’ shakes up anganwadi menu, Internet joins the feast!
PTC Web Desk: In a heartwarming and hilarious turn of events, a Kerala toddler has become the face of a culinary revolution—one tiny spoon of upma at a time! Thrajul S Sankar, fondly known as Shanku, had the Internet rolling with laughter after he firmly rejected his anganwadi meal, demanding a royal upgrade. His wishlist? Biryani and chicken fry!
Captured in a now-viral Instagram video, little Shanku can be seen enjoying biryani at home while passionately advocating for the same to be served at his anganwadi. “I want ‘birnani’ (biryani) and ‘poricha kozhi’ (chicken fry) instead of upma!” he declared with the conviction of a seasoned food critic. The Internet agreed.
Millions watched, shared, and nodded in approval. Social media was flooded with comments supporting the pint-sized food connoisseur. “Give the little champ his biryani, and throw in some mutton too!” wrote one user. Another quipped, “If kids start making decisions, upma will soon be an endangered species.”
Offers of free biryani poured in, as if Shanku had unknowingly launched a VIP biryani membership. “People have been calling and offering to send him biryani and chicken fry,” his astonished mother revealed. If there was ever a time to be a toddler in Kerala, this was it.
But the real plot twist came when Kerala’s Health, Women, and Child Welfare Minister, Veena George, joined the ‘Shanku for Biryani’ movement. Sharing his video on her Facebook page, she promised that the anganwadi menu would be reconsidered, possibly with a biryani upgrade. “Shanku’s suggestion is noted,” she assured.
