PTC Web Desk: In a tragic turn of events, a 22-year-old man from Bengaluru has been arrested for allegedly murdering his girlfriend in South Goa. The victim, identified as Roshni Moses M, was found dead in a forested area of Pratap Nagar, with the police confirming her throat had been slit.
The accused, Sanjay Kevin M, also 22, hails from North Bengaluru. According to the police, the couple had recently travelled to Goa with plans to get married. However, a dispute between them allegedly escalated, leading to the fatal incident.
Superintendent of Police (South Goa) Tikam Singh Verma stated, “This is a case involving a love affair and a marriage proposal that resulted in a fatal dispute.” The police said the murder occurred two days prior to the body’s discovery on Monday evening.
After launching a swift investigation, the police traced Sanjay to Bengaluru and arrested him within 24 hours. Further inquiries into the motive and circumstances are ongoing.
