Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was in the Uttar Pradesh capital to inaugurate a national memorial and address a public gathering, found his speech overshadowed online, not by political debate, but by a viral altercation over samosas.
A video circulating widely on social media shows a heated scuffle breaking out among attendees, allegedly after samosas ran out at the venue. In the clip, three men can be seen slapping, punching and kicking another man, sending him crashing into rows of chairs.
What left viewers stunned was the timing. The fight unfolded while the Prime Minister’s speech continued in the background, lending the clip an almost surreal quality.
