Woman orders home appliances, gets dead body in parcel!
PTC Web Desk: A shocking incident has come to light in Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari district, where a woman named Naga Tulsi was horrified to receive a decomposing dead body in a parcel, accompanied by a chilling letter demanding Rs 1.3 crore.
Tulsi, who was building a house on a government-sanctioned site, had earlier sought financial aid from the Kshatriya Seva Samithi. The organisation had sent her tiles for the construction and later assured her of additional support. After her request for electrical appliances, Tulsi received a WhatsApp message promising items such as lights, fans, and switches.
On Thursday night, Tulsi received a parcel that she believed contained the promised electrical appliances. However, upon opening it, she discovered the decomposed body of an unidentified man along with a threatening letter demanding Rs 1.3 crore. The letter warned of dire consequences if the amount was not paid. It remains unclear whether the letter was addressed to Tulsi or a family member.
The horrifying discovery plunged Tulsi’s household into panic, prompting them to alert the police. Senior officials, including West Godavari district SP Nayeem Asmi, visited the site to oversee the investigation.
The body, believed to be four to five days old, was sent to a government hospital for an autopsy. The police have launched an investigation to identify the deceased, determine if foul play was involved, and trace how the body ended up in the parcel.
The police have also summoned representatives of the Kshatriya Seva Samithi for questioning, as the parcel was allegedly linked to their earlier assistance.
