Ukraine no longer has airforce, says Russia
Russia-Ukraine war: Russia's Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has claimed that Ukraine's military capability has been severely degraded, adding that Ukraine no longer has an airforce.
According to the news agency Reuters, the Russian Minister also said that around 600 foreign mercenaries have been killed in Ukraine in the last two weeks.
Meanwhile, the latest round of peace talks between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations at the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul has concluded.
According to the sources, Alexander Fomin, Russia's deputy defence minister was leading the Russian delegation which includes negotiator Vladimir Medinsky. On the other hand, the Ukrainian delegation was headed by David Arakhamia.
The Turkish foreign ministry announced that the peace negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian negotiating teams, which began in Istanbul on Tuesday, will not be extended for a second day. According to one of Russia's deputy defence ministers, Russia has decided to dramatically reduce its military activities around Kyiv and Chernihiv in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, a rocket hit the regional administration building in the southern Ukrainian port city of Mykolaiv on Tuesday, killing three people and injuring 22, according to the Ukrainian ambulance crew, as reported by Reuters. Rescue crews continue to work in the area, according to an online post, and 18 of the wounded have been rescued from the rubble.
On February 24, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine after the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Luhansk appealed for help in defending themselves against Ukrainian provocations.
In response to Russia's operation, Western countries have rolled out a comprehensive sanctions campaign against Moscow.
