Uttar Pradesh grants tax-free status to 'The Kashmir Files'
Lucknow, March 15: Uttar Pradesh government declares tax- free status to 'The Kashmir Files'. More states are joining the tax-free brigade for 'The Kashmir Files' which includes Uttarakhand, Tripura, Karnataka, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and now Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ,Took to his Twitter handle and announced that the state government would make the screening of 'The Kashmir Files' tax-free.
'The Kashmir Files', which revolves around the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, has been directed by Vivek Agnihotri, well known for the films like 'Tashkent Files', 'Hate Story' and 'Buddha in a Traffic Jam'.

The movie has been released on March 11. Produced by Zee Studios, the movie stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, and others.
Meanwhile celebrities and political leaders urged the people of India to go watch Kashmir Files.
Parineeti Chopra who will be next seen in Sooraj Barjatya's 'Uunchai' tweeted: "Sooo happy for both my favourite people! Good work speaks. Congrats team #TheKashmirFiles @AnupamPKher #MithunChakraborthy."

The harsh and reality based movie has also brought into light the wishes of the Pandit community to abrogate Article 370 believing that it could solve its long pending problems. The movie revolves around two main problems which includes continuous failure of the government to give justice to the community and the sensationalism the media promoted there folding the real situation of Kashmiri Pandits.
