Chandigarh, March 2: Amid an advisory by the Indian embassy in Ukraine on Wednesday asking all Indian nationals to leave Kharkiv immediately, a video by some girl students stranded in warn-ridden Ukraine has gone viral, wherein she has accused the Indian Embassy of doing little for them. She said no help had reached them so far. She said Ukraine police and citizens had started misbehaving with them. Indian nationals were not being allowed to board trains. "Ukraine police personnel and people there are not allowing us to board trains at Ukraine railway stations. The Indian Embassy has issued an advisory asking us to leave Kharkiv immediately. We have failed to understand when no help has reached us so far, how can we leave Kharkiv at such a short notice. There is continuous shelling," says the girl in the viral video. Another girl said they had not been provided any transportation facility to reach nearby borders. " We have been left to ourselves. There is no network. Our phone batteries are also going low. We are facing continuous threat," she added. "All are trying to leave Kharkiv amid war. Indians are not being allowed to board trains at Ukraine railway stations. Only 200-250 students could board two trains. Many are still stranded. There is a chaos everywhere. Continuous shelling is putting our lives at risk." Notably, the Indian embassy in Ukraine on Wednesday issued a fresh advisory for its nationals living in Kharkiv and asked them that they "must leave" immediately and reach Pesochin, Babaye and Bezlyudovka settlements by 1800 hrs, amid the escalating military operation in Ukraine. For their safety and security, they must leave Kharkiv immediately in light of the deteriorating situation. They should Proceed to Pesochin, Babaye and Bezlyudovka as soon as possible for their safety. Under all circumstances they must reach these settlements by 1800 hrs (Ukrainian time) today," India in Ukraine said in a statement. Meanwhile, a total of 16 flights have already brought back stranded Indian nationals from Ukraine till Wednesday. -PTC News
