World Music Day 2019: PTC Punjabi Network to showcase Special Programming to celebrate Music Day

Mohali: Three credible global Identities – Punjabis, Punjabi music and PTC TV network – are, as always, hand-in-hand to celebrate the World Music Day on June 21. “Music is in the blood of Punjabis,” says Mr. Rabindra Narayan, MD, and President of PTC Network, maintaining that “popularity of the Punjabi music is evident from the fact that it has immensely influenced Bollywood film industry. “The Punjabi music industry is growing a phenomenal pace,” he says, adding that “as custodian of Punjabi Language we will keep propagating it across the globe. “On World Music day we extend our best wishes to all music lovers, singers and the entire fraternity associated with Punjab music industry all over the globe,” Mr. Narayan added. Having taken upon itself the onerous and challenging task of keeping alive not only the glorious past and its rapidly growing size, PTC Network, as a pioneer in Punjabi Music industry, has drawn special plans for the World Music day’s content and programming across all Network channels. The week-long celebrations started on June 15 and will continue till June 21, the World Music Day. All channels of G-Next Media – PTC Punjabi, PTC Chak De, and PTC Music, All Network Channels of GNext media Pvt Ltd through its network Channels PTC Punjabi, PTC Chak DE, and PTC Music showcased special shows. An Array of Artist from the Punjabi Music and Movies industry gathered together to make it a bigger and brighter. PTC Punjabi organized a Music Conclave in Chandigarh in this connection where students and Music connoisseurs participated to understand the journey and the way forward of Punjabi Music. A special show “Sur Punjabi – Ek Sajda Sangeet Noo” – was moderated by renowned Actor/Singer and Anchor Satinder Satti, those who participated in the panel include renowned Singer Lakhwinder Wadali, Satinder Sartaj and Deepak Bali, Rabindra Narayan – MD & amp; President, PTC Punjabi Network was also among the panelist. The panelists discussed various aspects of Punjabi music & amp; its confluence and influence on Bollywood. The show will be telecast on June 21 on PTC Punjabi and PTC Chak De. All Network Channels will also showcase a special documentary on the life and times of the folk artists, musicians, singers, and music instruments. “Sur Punjabi – Ek Safarnama”- is a special effort highlighting the past and the present of the Punjabi Music Industry. The documentary will share the special moments and transcend from love ballads of Heer-Ranjha to the new age music. A special collection of rarest videos of Punjabi artists and singers from PTC’s archives will take you down the memory lane to unfold the nostalgia of the era. Sur Punjabi- The Legends showcase all the veterans who have brought Punjabi Music to the fore. The artist featuring on the special show include Shri Gurdas Mann, Padam Shri Hans Raj Hans, Master Saleem, Jaspinder Narula, Satinder Sartaj, Gurmeet Bawa, Padam Shri Puran Chand Wadali, and others, all channels of the PTC Network will also showcase special Music playlist for the day highlighting the top Hits from different genres, different Artists, different eras and different musical backgrounds. The Music list for the day will go back through the time tunnel and play the Hit songs or the songs which brought the artist and his work to the fore. Today Punjabi Music is an integral part of the Bollywood music scape and this has opened many doors for the Young and aspiring singers. From Veterans like Shri Gurdas Mann, Late  Shri Jagjit Singh, Shri Bhupinder Singh to the new age singers Like Diljit Dosanjh, Guru Randhawa, Gippy Grewal, and many others have taken a giant leap promoting and promising new horizons for the Punjabi Music Industry. -PTC News
