Iran wants to kill Trump: Netanyahu's explosive claim, says Tehran plotting US President's assassination

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Iran’s Islamic regime had plotted to assassinate US President Donald Trump, labelling him “enemy number one,” as reported by Fox News.

"They want to kill him. He’s enemy number one. He’s a decisive leader. He never took the path that others took to try to bargain with them in a way that is weak,” said Netanyahu to Fox News’ Bret Baier. He also credited Trump with dismantling what he called a “fake agreement,” withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal, and killing Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.

Netanyahu during the interview asserted that Trump's strong stance over preventing Iran from seeking nuclear weapon put him on the list of Tehran's top target. “He made it very clear, including now, ‘You cannot have a nuclear weapon, which means you cannot enrich uranium,’” the Israeli PM said.

The Israeli prime minister justified Israel’s aggressive military campaign, saying the nation faced an “imminent threat” of nuclear annihilation. “We were facing a dual existential threat,” he said.

“One, Iran is rushing to weaponise their enriched uranium to make an atomic bomb. Second, a rush to increase their ballistic missile arsenal to 3,600 weapons a year, within three years 10,000 missiles, and in 26 years, 20,000.” He said that no country, especially one the size of Israel, could sustain such a threat.
