'Milestone in our relationship': Here's what Foreign Secy said on PM Modi's US visit | IN POINTS
New Delhi, June 19: Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra on Monday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's State visit to the United States is a "milestone" in the bilateral relationship between the two countries. He further noted that key elements of the ties will feature very prominently during the visit.

2) The visit would be very rich in both form and substance, he added.
3) "PM is visiting the US on 21st through 23rd of June on the invitation of the US President Joe Biden and the first lady Jill Biden," said the foreign secretary.
4) This will be PM Modi's first official State visit to the United States.
5) Before the visit, India and the US had high-level meetings, including a visit to New Delhi by US National Security Advisor (NSA) Jake Sullivan and Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin.
6) PM Modi's visit will begin in New York, where he will lead the International Day of Yoga celebrations at the United Nations Headquarters on June 21. The United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 to be the International Day of Yoga in December 2014.
7) Following that, PM Modi will proceed to Washington, DC, where he will be greeted with a ceremonial welcome at the White House on June 22 and meet with President Biden to continue their high-level dialogue.
8) The same evening, President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host a State Dinner in honour of the Prime Minister.
9) On June 22, Prime Minister Modi will also address a joint session of the United States Congress.
