'US keeping an eye on India, Pakistan every single day', claims Washington
PTC News Desk: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the United States monitors the situation between India and Pakistan every day, along with other global regions where tensions remain high.
“Every single day we keep an eye on what’s happening between Pakistan and India, what’s happening between Cambodia and Thailand,” Rubio said during NBC News’s Meet the Press show.
'Ceasefire has to be maintained, which is very difficult. The U.S keeps an eye on what is happening between India and Pakistan every single day,' says Marco Rubio on NBC.

He added that maintaining a ceasefire is often challenging, especially after long conflicts. “Ceasefires can fall apart very quickly, especially after a three-and-a-half-year war like what we’re facing now,” he said. Rubio also said the aim should be a peace deal that prevents both current and future conflict, not just a temporary halt in fighting.
Notably, US President Trump has repeatedly reiterated his claims of brokering a ceasefire deal between India and Pakistan, following days long conflict under the banner of Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam attack.
India, however has firmly rejected the claims and maintained that the ceasefire understanding between both the nations was entirely bilateral with no role for third-party mediation. New Delhi has consistently denied that any foreign leader influenced its military decisions or ceasefire actions.
In a special discussion in Parliament on Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that no world leader had asked India to stop its military response. “We had said from day one that our action was non-escalatory. No leader in the world asked us to stop Operation Sindoor,” the Prime Minister said.
