Bikram Singh Majithia pays school's electricity bill, mocks Punjab Govt
To mock the Punjab government, former cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia paid the electricity bill of a government school as the electricity supply of the primary school in Kathunangl was cut off by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited on account of non-payment of the bill.
Majithia saves kids from the heat by paying the school electricity bill.
“When I was told about the problem, I couldn’t stop myself and gave Rs 10000 to my staff to pay the bill online” he added. “I hope the electricity will be restored by Monday” Majithia said.
Majithia said, the Congress government alleging that it had reimbursed bills of Congress leaders to the tune of Rs 84 lakh but it had kept its eyes close on payment of electricity bill of a government school.
