Man's body rots in tunnel of Delhi Metro airport line for months: In a shocking revelation, a highly-decomposed body has been recovered from the protected premises of the Delhi Metro. The man's body was found inside a tunnel on the Airport Express Line of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), as per reports. While the staff was on a routine track inspection after the operations had ended for the day, they found the body between the New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium stations early on February 9. The body was found in the shaft that leads to the ground level. As only the bones were all that left behind, it is suspected that the body had been there for several months, as per reports more than 4 to 5 months. The incident has baffled DMRC officials as well as police who are finding it difficult to explain how the body (or the man) reached the shaft. The body was discovered around 300 metres from the platform of the station, said an official of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). He added that the biggest mystery was, how the staff did not locate the body for months since track inspection is a routine affair. In fact, access to the tracks on the airport line is restricted due to the installation of platform screen doors. -PTC News
