Punjab CM condoles demises of Dr. Mohinder Singh Randhawa's wife
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has condoled the death of Smt. Iqbal Kaur Randhawa, the wife of first Chief Commissioner of Chandigarh Late Dr. M.S. Randhawa.
Iaqbal Kaur passed away, at the age of 101, here in a private hospital on Monday after a brief illness. She is survived by two daughters and a son.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister described Smt. Iqbal Kaur as a pillar of strength and inspiration for Dr. Randhawa, who played a pivotal role in bringing the green revolution in the state by establishing the prestigious Punjab Agricultural University at Ludhiana. He was also instrumental in developing Chandigarh as the City Beautiful, besides promoting art and culture.
Sharing his heartfelt condolences with the members of the bereaved family, relatives and friends, Captain Amarinder prayed to the Almighty to give them strength and to grant eternal peace to the departed soul. -PTC News
