SAD strongly condemns telecast of liquor advertisement on LEDs meant for Gurbani telecast in heritage walk
Chandigarh: The Shiromani Akali Dal strongly condemned the telecast of commercial advertisements of liquor on the screens of LEDs installed to telecast Gurbani on the heritage walk in Amritsar. In a statement issued to the press the SAD Secretary and Spokesman Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said that this action of the state government has hurt the sentiments of all the devotees who visit Darbar Sahib in lacs daily. He said that after declaring Viraste Khalsa a white elephant this is the second major blunder of the Cultural Affairs Minister Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu and the state government. The SAD further said that this a deep rooted conspiracy aimed the spoiling the peaceful and spiritual atmosphere of Darbar Sahib. The SAD warned the government to immediately stop this nonsense without any delay. The party also demanded an unqualified apology from the Punjab CM and an detailed inquiry into the whole episode to punish all the guilty at the earliest. —PTC News
