Shahkot by Election to be held on 28 May
Election commission of India today announced bye election schedule for Shahkot Vidhan Sabha constituency. Disclosing this here a spokesperson of office of Chief electoral officer Punjab said that, notification regarding Shahkot by election will be issued on 3rd May 2018. The last date of filing nominations paper will be 10 May 2018, said official reports. The date of polling has been fixed on May 28, 2018. The date of scrutiny will be May 11, 2018, while the last date for withdrawal of nomination will be May 14, 2018. As per confirm reports, the date of counting will be May 31. The seat has been vacant since Veteran Akali Dal leader and Shahkot MLA Ajit Singh Kohar. He was 78 years old and had died of cardiac arrest on February 4. -PTC News
