Singh and Kaur family wake at 3 AM so the homeless don't sleep hungry

Sikhs in New Zealand Making Sure That The Homeless Don't Go To Bed Cold & Hungry. Sikhs are known across the globe for their selfless love for humanity. Be it summer or winters, they never step back from feeding and helping the needy. Be it langar or be it sewa- Sikhs go beyond the boundaries to help the world. Showing us another glimpse of the kind-heartedness , Sikh families have come together to distribute food and clothes to those in dire need. Sikhs in Hamilton, New Zealand are making every effort to feed the hungry and to give shelter to the homeless. According to a report in Stuff.co, Singh and Kaur family wake at 3 am each Sunday and cook pots of curry and rice and brew Milo. The family is a part of Hamilton's Sikh Sangat group and along with other members of the group, they give out care packs with toothpaste and feminine hygiene products. Every Sunday, the Singh and Kaur family starts cooking curry and rice in the early hours, then takes the food and care packages to Hamilton's needy. They serve at Garden Place, the KFC on Ulster Street, and in Fairfield. Along with distributing food, they also give away clothes; from socks, beanies, shoes, and jackets for those who need them the most. Stories like these make us believe in humanity above all. -PTC News
