Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 1,924; death toll 32

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 1924 after 10 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Wednesday evening. The death toll in the state remains at 32. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Ropar reported 2 new cases while Ludhiana reported 5 new cases of coronavirus. Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar and Kapurthala reported 1 new case each. Amritsar is on the top of the tally with 297 COVID-19 cases followed by Jalandhar at 198, Tarn Taran at 158, Ludhiana at 148. Gurdaspur has 122 cases of coronavirus while SBS Nagar stands at 103 cases. Mohali has 102 cases while Patiala reported 99 cases. Hoshiarpur has 92 cases. Sangrur tally stands at 88 while Muktsar stands at 65. A total of 59 cases have been reported from Moga, 56 from Ropar, 55 from Fatehgarh Sahib. Sigh of relief! Punjab reports just 10 COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours Faridkot has so far reported 46 cases, Ferozepur stands at 44 while Fazilka has 41 cases of coronavirus. Bathinda has reported 40 COVID-19 cases so far. Mansa has recorded 32 cases, while 29 cases have been reported from Pathankot, 27 from Kapurthala, 21 from Barnala. Meanwhile, 1692 are active cases while 200 people have been cured and discharged.
