27-year-old Indian worker sexually harasses British tourist in Dubai
An Indian worker was charged for sexually harassing a British tourist in a lift of a residential tower in Dubai on Wednesday. He was charged by the Dubai Court of First Instance on Saturday. According to the media reports, a 24-year-old Indian worker has been accused of taking advantage of the British tourist (35) when he was alone with her in a lift. He exposed him to the tourist in an inappropriate way and tried to touch her also.

The British woman in her complaint told that she came to the UAE to visit her husband. At around 4:40 pm, she was going to practice yoga at the gym on the 37th floor in her residential tower. The accused also took the same lift and it was just two of them. He stood very close to the victim to touch her. She tried to move away, but he was not stepping aside. She also heard him moaning.
After some time, the accused walked out at the 34th floor. When she reached her 37th floor, she found his semen traces on her clothes.

She immediately reported to the hotel security, following which surveillance footage was thoroughly checked. She identified the accused in the videos. Later the incident was reported to the Bur Dubai police station. A forensics team and a police team reached the spot.
The police arrested the accused the next day at the same residential tower. He confessed to his crime during interrogation. Also, the woman’s clothes on which she found semen were also seized. The DNA test reports confirmed the accused traces on the clothes.

During a hearing, the accused denied the charges in the court. The public prosecutor demanded strict punishment for the accused. A ruling will be pronounced on February 25.
