6-year-old girl raped and strangled to death in Rajasthan’s Tonk

In a heart-wrenching incident, a six-year-old girl student was allegedly raped and strangled to death with her own school belt on Sunday, December 1, police said. She reportedly went missing on Saturday, November 30, in Tonk district in Rajasthan.

According to the information, the victim’s body was recovered from bushes in a remote area near her village, Khetadi. The police official stated that liquor bottles, snacks and bloodstains were found at the spot. The police informed that there was a sports competition at the girl’s school on Saturday, after it ended, she went missing.

Meanwhile, her family started looking for her after she did not return home by 3 pm. The next morning, it was her bloodstained body that was found near the village. The police and forensic teams arrived after being informed about the heinous crime. Also, the people were outraged and huge crowd gathered at the spot.

Superintendent of Police Adarsh Sidhu stated that it was a rape and murder. “We are investigating the matter to trace the accused. We have also formed a special team for the same,” he said.
