Pradyuman Murder: Accused teen switches statements, says he was forced to confess crime

The class XI student who was accused of murdering 7-year-old Pradyuman Thakur has now retracted his earlier confession before the CBI saying he was forced to confess the crime. He added that he was allegedly beaten up by the investigators. It seems that he was forced to confess the crime. CBI officials, however, denied the same charges by his father earlier. However, the new development is sure to raise some eyebrows, in what is turning out to be a complex case. The accused teen narrated a completely different sequence of events to the visiting legal and CBI team as per reports. The accused has now said that on the day of the unfateful incident he visited a temple near his house, following which he reached school at around 8 am. Upon reaching school, he met a friend who asked him to wait, and that is why he stopped near the water cooler. When his friend did not turn up, he decided to go to the music room two minutes later to meet the music teacher. However, the music room was locked; he then returned to the same spot to check on his friend but he was still not there. After that, the accused decided to go to the washroom, where he heard the screams of a boy who was allegedly vomiting blood. Refuting the investigation conducted by the Gurugram Police in the case, the CBI has now said that Ashok Kumar, the bus conductor who was initially held as a suspect for the murder, was present in the washroom at the time of the murder. -PTC News
