Action against guilty in sacrilege cases, drug traffickers soon: Punjab CM Channi
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Saturday said action would be taken against all guilty responsible for the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib as the investigations of the SIT were already on the fast track.
Addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone of the Bela-Paniyali road and bridge over the Sutlej during a state-level function at Sri Chamkaur Sahib, CM Charanjit Singh Channi said although he was poor, but not weak. All those involved in the sacrilege incidents would be unmasked.

Reiterating his government's firm commitment towards stamping out corruption from the public life, Punjab CM Channi said every decision was taken for the overall development and prosperity of the state, besides the welfare of its people.

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal said CM Channi had become the most popular leader among the people due to his simplicity and visionary approach. He said the CM could feel the pulse of the poor people because he (Channi) himself had passed through the pangs of penury.
Meanwhile, Punjab PWD Minister Vijay Inder Singla and MLA, Balachaur, Darshan Lal Mangupur said all promises made with the people by the Channi government were being fulfilled in the right earnest.
