Amritsar Rly Station to resume operations tomorrow after Electronic interlocking connection work ends

Amritsar Rly Station Resumes after Electronic Interlocking Connection System Work ends here on Tuesday.

Several trains were cancelled, while some of the trains were short terminated or short originated due to electronic interlocking work at Amritsar station in Firozepur division of Northern Railway (NR) from July 17 to July 31.

Public relations officer, Northern Railways, Kultar said that the trains towards Amritsar were affected due to the construction works. He said that they were positive that the work would be completed in the allotted time and the trains would run smoothly again. And the work did get completed in the dedicated time period.

Kultar added that in order to further strengthen the infrastructure, NR would undertake the electronic interlocking work at the Amritsar station and to execute this, NR would take traffic blocks up to August 1.
