Chandigarh COVID-19: Total cases reach 13,848; Active cases spike to 712 cases

The total number of coronavirus cases in Chandigarh have increased to 13,848 after 53 new cases of COVID-19 were reported.

Amongst the new cases, 32 are male cases and 21 are female cases.

16 contract COVID-19 in Chandigarh, tally rises to 218

According to the media bulletin issued by the Chandigarh Health Department, Active cases in Chandigarh have spiked to 712 cases.

  • An 80 year old male R/o Sector 43, a case of Cancer with Metastasis, who tested COVID positive, has expired at Max Hospital, Mohali on 21-10-2020.
  • A 65 year old male R/o Sector 35, a case of Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, has expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali on 22-10-2020.
  • A 68 year old male R/o Dhanas, a case of Hypertension and Diabetes, who tested COVID positive, has expired at PGIMER on 22-10-2020.

A total of 82 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic as per MoHFW guidelines.
