Gurjant Singh murder case: AGTF arrests four members of Landa-Satta gang

Tarn Taran, October 23: In a major breakthrough in Gurjant Singh murder case, Tarn Taran police and Anti-Gangster Task Force (ATGF) arrested four members of the Landa-Satta gang during a joint operation, informed DGP Punjab Police on Sunday.

Notably, the arrested include two shooters and police have also recovered four foreign-made weapons from their possession.

"In a major breakthrough, @TarnTaranPolice @cpamritsar & #AGTF, in a joint operation arrested two shooters among four members of #Landa-#Satta #Gang for murder of #Gurjant Singh. 4 foreign-made weapons recovered," Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said on Twitter.

"Busted module controlled by #Canada-based Landa & #Pak-based Rinda. @PunjabPoliceInd is committed to make #Punjab crime-free as per the vision of CM @BhagwantMann," he added in another tweet.

Earlier, Lakhbir Singh, alias Landa, a Canada-based gangster wanted by Punjab Police in various criminal cases, claimed responsibility for the murder of a shopkeeper in the border area of Tarn Taran.

Gurjant Singh, 30, was shot dead earlier this month while working at his garment shop by two motorcycle-borne men. Gurjant, a Rasoolpur village resident, allegedly received a 20 lakh extortion threat from Landa four months ago.
