Happy Birthday Ishant Sharma: The Indian Speedster is celebrating his birthday on Monday. He was born on September 02, 1988. The Indian Cricketer represented India in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. Ishant Sharma is 1.95 m (6 ft 5 in), tall right-arm fast-medium bowler. While at the age of 18, Ishant Sharma was offered to join the Indian squad for the tour of South Africa in 2006–07. However, he was later denied to go for the tour. In fact, the bowler was given the nickname 'Lambu', because of his height.

Ishant Sharma became the fifth-youngest player to take 100 Test wickets, in 2011. Also, he became the fifth quickest Indian to grab 100 ODI wickets while playing a match against South Africa in 2013. Ishant has bowled the maximum of 152.2 km/h against Australia on Boxing Day Test in 2011 while bowling Ricky Ponting. Recently, in India vs West Indies Test series 2019, Ishant Sharma has not only done with the ball but with the bat as well.

Ishant Sharma during Antigua Test 2019, took a ninth five-wicket haul. Also, during the Jamaica Test, which is still underway, he moved post-Kapil Dev to become the most successful Indian pacer outside Asia. Ishant Sharma is the sixth-highest wicket-taker from his country.
