The mountains of Hanuman Tibba near Manali in Kullu district received fresh snowfall on Monday, sending the mercury on a nosedive in surrounding states of Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana. Rohtang Pass in Kullu also received fresh snowfall.

Besides Hanuma Tibba, Friendship Peak, Ladaki Peak, and Manali Peak were seen covered with fresh snow which fell during the past 24 hours. Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh till October 3.

This bodes well for the tourism industry as snow in the hill state is a major draw for tourists.
