Hamirpur bus accident: HRTC bus collides with hill in Himachal Pradesh

Hamirpur bus accident: A Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus met with an accident in Hamirpur, injuring 34 people. According to reports, the accident occurred on Saturday night at Tiale Da Ghat near Bhota Kaswa, around 16 kilometres from Hamirpur.

According to eyewitnesses, a car unexpectedly came in front of the bus while approaching a sharp turn near Tiale Da Ghat. To save the car, the driver turned the bus to the left and collided with a hill, causing the accident.


According to officials, the Hamirpur-Vrindaban bus was carrying around 50 passengers, nine of whom, including the driver, sustained serious injuries and are being treated at Hamirpur Medical College.

The driver had to be removed from the bus by cutting the steering wheel, they added.

According to officials, the remaining 25 injured passengers were taken to Bhota Hospital in Hamirpur district for treatment.

A police team led by ASI Rajesh Kumar arrived at the scene and conducted relief and rescue operations. The local business community also assisted them.

Police said a case has been filed in the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
