Rohit Sharma on Friday became the first Indian opener to smash two centuries in a single Test match since Sunil Gavaskar in 1978/79. The 32-year-old reached the three-figure mark off 133 deliveries as he scored 127 in the second innings of the first Test match against South Africa at Vishakhapatnam. Hitman smashed 176 runs in the first innings which came off 244 deliveries. Now, Rohit Sharma is the sixth Indian to hit a century in each innings of a Test match. Also, he is the first batsman ever to score two hundred on debut as an opener.
