IPL 2021: Today's KKR vs RCB match postponed after 2 KKR players test positive for COVID-19

IPL 2021, KKR vs RCB: The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore has been rescheduled after Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier tested positive for COVID-19.

The KKR vs RCB was scheduled to be held on Monday, May 3.

As per the report, Varun Chakravarthy had recently left IPL bio-bubble through the official green channel for a scan on his shoulder. It is believed that is where he might have got exposed.

This is for the first time that members within the IPL bio-bubble have tested positive for COVID-19 since IPL 2021 started. However, both the franchise and IPL are yet to give a statement on this.

Currently, Kolkata Knight Riders are at the seventh position on the points table. They have won only two matches out of seven played. The last match was against Delhi Capitals in Ahmedabad.

Delhi defeated Kolkata by 7 wickets as Prithvi Shaw dominated the KKR bowlers. For Kolkata, a lot of things are not working in its favour.

Riders' top-order is not working, the overseas combination has been an issue and the bowling plan in powerplay is still questionable.

As of now, KKR is under threat of failing to make it to play-offs for the third season in a row.
