It's official: Kangana, not Kareena, to play Sita in 'The Incarnation-Sita'

After 'Thalaivii', actor Kangana Ranaut is set to play another powerful character. The Bollywood actor has been roped in to play Goddess Sita in 'The Incarnation-Sita.' Earlier, the name of Kareena Kapoor Khan was doing the rounds for this film, which had invited the wrath of netizens.

'The Incarnation-Sita' is being directed by Alaukik Desai. Kangana Ranaut has shared a poster of the upcoming film on her Instagram stories and also thanked the director for giving her the opportunity. Earlier, reports had claimed that Kareena Kapoor Khan had demanded ₹12 crore for the film.

Confirming the same, producer Saloni Sharma said in a statement, “As a woman, I couldn’t be happier in welcoming Kangana Ranaut on board our VFX magnum opus, ‘The Incarnation Sita’. Kangana symbolises the spirit and essence of the Indian woman - fearless, daunting and daring. It’s time we stepped in to celebrate equality in every respect."

Kangana’s 'Thalaivii'biopic of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, hit theatres recently.  it has been directed by Vijay and written by KV Vijayendra Prasad.

Kangana Ranaut To Play Goddess Sita In An Upcoming Epic Period Drama Titled  The Incarnation- Sita

She will also be seen in action films 'Dhaakad' and 'Tejas'. Directed by Sarvesh Mewara, 'Tejas' will feature Kangana as an Air Force pilot.
