PTC News Desk: The Chandigarh Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the motorcycle march being organised by the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Rajewal) on Monday, July 13, in support of various farmers' demands. The rally will be held from Mohali to Chandigarh.
According to the advisory, traffic movement on several roads in the city will remain restricted from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm on July 13.
The Chandigarh Traffic Police has advised commuters to avoid, as far as possible, the stretch from the Sector 51/52 roundabout to the Sector 43 Bus Stand, and from the Sector 34/35/43/44 intersection to the Sector 21/22/34/35 intersection during the restricted hours.
Similarly, traffic will remain limited on the road from the Sector 21/22/34/35 intersection to the Sector 20/21/33/34 intersection on Dakshin Marg, as well as from Kisan Bhawan to the Sector 20/30/32/33 intersection.
Restrictions will also be in place on the road from the Sector 20/21/33/34 intersection to the Sector 33/34/44/45 intersection, and further up to the Sector 44/45/50/51 intersection.
The traffic police said heavy congestion is expected on these routes due to the farmers' motorcycle march, which could inconvenience commuters. Residents have been advised to use alternative routes between 10:30 am and 3:00 pm to avoid traffic delays.
