Participation in SIR mandatory if women want to avail 'Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana' benefits, says CM Bhagwant Mann
PTC News Desk: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday urged all the voters across the state to participate in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and get done with the registeration of their votes in order to avail the government benefits and welfare schemes including Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana.
In a video message, Mann, who is currently on a health and wellness retreat in Bangaluru, has said that the SIR is being undertaken by the Election Commission of India. “You only have to fill a form to ensure that your name remains in the voter list. If you don’t fill the form, your name will be deleted. Then you won’t be eligible to get the social security benefits or avail of other government schemes,” he said.
pic.twitter.com/qXpS2XKxUT — Bhagwant Mann (@BhagwantMann) July 8, 2026
Earlier on Tuesday, Punjab CEO Anindita Mitra had flagged instances where Booth Level Officers were subjected to mistreatment by public in Patiala and Barnala districts and sought public cooperation in the matter.
Meanwhile, CM Mann also congratulated all the women of the state, asserting that the government fulfilled its poll promise by putting money in their bank accounts.
