Chandigarh, November 4: According to statistical data
released by the government, Punjab’s neighboring states Haryana, Himachal
Pradesh and even the capital Chandigarh has surpassed state GST Growth. In the reports
Haryana is ahead with 37 percent, Chandigarh with 28 percent, Himachal Pradesh
with 14 percent and Punjab lagging behind at 10 percent in the income growth
post festivity season.

Punjab has got an income of 1760 crores in October 22, while
in October last year it had an income of 1,595 crores. Neighboring state
Haryana has got an income of 7,662 crores,way more than last year the income of
5,606 crores. Himachal Pradesh has got an income of 784 crores. Last year there
was an income of 689 crores. Chandigarh has got an income of 203 crores from
GSTO, last year it had got an income of 158 crores. So many states have left
Punjab behind.
Punjab government has got 165 crore more income in October
22 than last year. While Haryana has got 1956 crore more income. The Punjab
government has set a target of 20,550 crores in the budget from GST this time
and the government had got an income of 8,482 crores till September 30. While
in the month of October, there has been an income of 1760 crores- the total GST
revenue stands at 10,242 crore till October 31.
