Punjab bodybuilder Sukhvir Singh dies of cardiac arrest during powerlifting competition in Ludhiana
He completed a 150-kg bench press and won the deadlift round with a 350-kg lift
PTC Web Desk: Another tragic incident involving a sportsman has been reported from Punjab. A well-known young bodybuilder died after suffering a cardiac arrest during a powerlifting competition in Ludhiana. The deceased has been identified as Sukhvir Singh (28), a resident of Ballowal (near Balachaur), who was currently living in Ludhiana.
According to information, Sukhvir Singh participated in a powerlifting competition held in Ludhiana on Sunday. During the event, he successfully completed a 150-kg bench press and went on to win the deadlift round by lifting 350 kg. However, shortly after completing his lifts, he complained of severe chest pain.
As his condition worsened, Sukhvir Singh reportedly walked towards his car to rest but collapsed before he could sit inside. Friends and fellow participants immediately rushed him to a private hospital in Ludhiana. Despite medical efforts, doctors declared him brought dead.
Sukhvir Singh was a popular figure in the local bodybuilding community and also ran a gym. His sudden death has sent shockwaves across Punjab’s fitness fraternity.
