Social media became an ordeal for Australian cricketer Shane Watson after his Instagram was hacked close on the heels of his Twitter account. The hacker rubbed it in by posting obscene pictures and videos unrelated to him on his verified Instagram profile.

Watson tweeted: “My apologies to everyone for the illicit photos that have been posted on my Instagram account. First, my Twitter account, on Friday, got hacked and now Instagram today. Instagram needs to help out a lot quicker when things like this happen. This is taking way too long!!!”

In another tweet, he questioned Instagram on the delayed response again. In a tweet, he wrote that he was impressed by Twitter’s swift action but Instagram authorities are not doing anything.

His Twitter account was reportedly hacked for just 30 minutes but the Instagram account is flooded with illicit content. A man wearing a joker T-shirt claims to be the hacker.

Watson announced retirement from domestic Australian T20 cricket, Big Bash League (BBL) this April. However, he is playing in other T20 leagues around the world.
